15:03 pdurbin sjoeboo: i love this chart you just linked me to. shows how gvm02 and gvm04 are a pair (in gluster), that when we rebooted gvm04 and it came back, it synced up with its buddy: http://software.rc.fas.harvard.edu/ganglia2/ganglia2_storage/graph.php?r=hour&z=xlarge&title=&vl=&x=&n=&hreg[]=gvm\d%2B&mreg[]=bytes_%28in|out%29&gtype=line&glegend=show&aggregate=1&embed=1&_=1353355017225
15:04 pdurbin bah, unclickable link at http://irclog.perlgeek.de/crimsonfu/2012-11-20#i_6169744
15:06 pdurbin anyway, it's awesome that we can reboot one of the gluster servers and our test VM stays up
16:07 pdurbin i'm finding this helpful: How A Ruby Case Statement Works And What You Can Do With It - http://www.skorks.com/2009/08/how-a-ruby-case-statement-works-and-what-you-can-do-with-it/
16:14 pdurbin handy that you can do this: when "A", "B"
16:41 semiosis i saw a switch-in-a-for-loop yesterday, it was totally unnecessary
17:14 pdurbin i need to learn the git thing where you make two commits (or more) after editing a file
17:14 pdurbin crimsonfubot: lucky git hunks
17:14 crimsonfubot pdurbin: http://git-scm.com/book/ch6-2.html
17:14 pdurbin yeah, interactive staging
17:16 pdurbin staging patches
19:14 pdurbin ouch. 100 TB of data lost. XFS blamed: http://irclog.perlgeek.de/gluster/2012-11-20#i_6170371
19:46 larsks pdurbin: "git add -p" is your friend.
19:54 pdurbin larsks: ok. will try it next time. thanks :)
20:17 pdurbin that's interesting. this VM has a "virtual" fact of "physical" rather than "kvm". and for the "processor0" fact it has "AMD Opteron 62xx class CPU" rather than "QEMU Virtual CPU version (cpu64-rhel6)"
20:24 pdurbin <model fallback='allow'>Opteron_G4</model> in its <cpu> element
21:28 pdurbin ah. we had clicked the "Copy host CPU configuation" in virt-manager. it guess it works... just confuses poor facter, which now thinks the VM is physical :)
21:41 larsks pdurbin: We've run into that, too. The facter fact should probably look at the output of "dmidecode" instead (or something).
23:30 jimi_c pdurbin: were you talking about juju the other day? I just discovered that today and I'm in love :)
23:30 jimi_c it seems to be everything I was hoping openshift would be
23:59 larsks jimi_c: How is it different from openshift?
